I am reading an interesting book entitled In The Name Of The Child by Janet Johnston and Vivienne Roseby.  The subtitle is A Developmental Approach To Understanding and Helping Children Of Conflicted and Violent Divorce.  The entire premise for the On Purpose Divorce concept is to prevent divorces from becoming conflictual especially higly conflictutal.  By learning specfici skills in communication among others like self-care, individuals can learn to avoid the conflict divorce so frequently brings to people.  While we are trying to make life more agreeable for adults, it’s the children who suffer the most from divorces that end through and with conflict.  Check out the book, it looks pretty good.
